A corporate knowledge base with an AI assistant: answers with a link to the source document, and actions in 1C, email and CRM
0-INTEL is a company’s internal reference system: an employee asks a question in plain words and gets a coherent answer with a link to the specific document and page. Alongside search, the 0-Agent assistant does not just answer but acts: it creates records in the accounting system (1C) and pages, sends emails and schedules tasks. Access rights are taken from the platform itself (Wiki.js) and applied before the search, so everyone sees only what they are allowed to see. The system is available on the web, as a widget on knowledge base pages, in Telegram and by voice; it is deployed with Docker Compose, including on the client’s own server.
The task
Regulations, contracts, estimates and correspondence are scattered across email, network folders, the cloud and employees’ heads: finding a contract clause takes half an hour and still needs double-checking. Data is retyped by hand from one system to another (for example, an invoice from an email is entered into 1C). At the same time, the security team is not prepared to open the accounting system to the outside.
What’s inside
- Semantic search (hybrid vector and full-text search with reranking, PostgreSQL 16 + pgvector); every answer includes a list of sources with links to the file and page
- No “filling in the gaps”: the rule “do not go beyond the documents found” is written into all six answer templates
- The 0-Agent assistant with 163 tools; the set of available tools is determined by the server based on the user’s rights, not by the language model
- The 24 most destructive actions require confirmation by a live administrator (a 5-minute permission bound to the exact arguments)
- Tasks without human involvement: 5 trigger types (schedule, point in time, event, value change on a page, chain), run history, wording versions, rollback, protection against double runs
- Access rights down to individual pages; the answer cache takes into account who is asking; if the rights check fails, access is denied
